Shipments of limestone and gypsum from U.S. and Canadian ports totaled 4,465,485 net tons in August, a decrease of 4.9 percent compared to the corresponding period last year. For the season, the Lakes stone trade stands at 21.4 million tons, a decrease of 4.2 percent.
