Lakes Limestone Trade Resumes

Limestone shipments on the Great Lakes totaled 248,080 net tons in March, an increase of roughly 100,000 tons compared to a year ago. Because so much stone is washed before loading, the trade generally does not resume in earnest until temperatures warm in early April.
