Stone Trade Remains Sluggish In October

The Great Lakes stone trade in October was again down compared to a year ago. Shipments from U.S. and Canadian ports totaled 4,359,914 net tons, a decrease of 450,000 tons (or 9.4 percent). For the season, the trade stands at 30.2 million tons, a decrease of 5.5 percent.
