U.S.-Flag Fleet Down By Four Hulls On August 1

The active U.S.-flag fleet on the Great Lakes totaled 54 hulls on August 1, a decrease of four hulls compared to a year ago and a decrease of five vessels compared to the 5-year average for August 1.  Joining the list of idled lakers since the July 1 survey was the JOSEPH H. FRANTZ (Great Lakes Associates, Inc.).  The vessel was withdrawn from service on July 16.
